I’ve spent my career helping communities, healthcare organizations, and response partners prepare for what comes next—because true resilience isn’t built during a crisis; it’s built every day before it happens.

My path into emergency preparedness began in healthcare, working in the emergency room. In that environment, I witnessed the impact of readiness firsthand—how quick, coordinated action can truly save lives. Those early experiences shaped the way I approach every challenge: with urgency, empathy, and a deep belief that people must always come before process.

From there, my work expanded across sectors and even across borders. As a Public Health Specialist with the U.S. Peace Corps in Albania, I led projects focused on public health education, anti-trafficking, and water sanitation—building partnerships that brought meaningful, tangible change to communities. Those years taught me that preparedness looks different in every setting, but its foundations remain the same: collaboration, communication, and genuine care for the people most affected.
In my roles as Director of Emergency Preparedness & Response at a regional nonprofit and as a Regional Healthcare Coordinator for a Healthcare Coalition, I've lead regional planning and coordinated responses across multiple sectors. Working to bring together hospitals, public health agencies, emergency management, EMS, and countless community partners to strengthen healthcare system readiness for more than two million residents. That work reinforced the importance of connection—of bringing the right people to the table and creating space for unified solutions.

Through Resilient Pathways Consulting, I’ve expanded that mission even further. I help organizations build sustainable preparedness programs, conduct meaningful and realistic exercises, and embed resilience into their culture. My focus is on bridging the gap between planning and action—ensuring clients not only meet requirements but build lasting capacity and confidence. Every engagement is tailored to meet the organization’s needs while guiding them toward the greatest impact.

I hold a Master of Public Health from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Kentucky University, along with professional credentials including Certified in Public Health (CPH), Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP), Certified Emergency Disaster Professional (CEDP), and Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).

To me, preparedness is deeply human work. It’s about ensuring that when the unexpected happens, people know what to do, how to help, and that they are never alone. Every plan I develop, every partnership I build, and every exercise I facilitate is grounded in that belief—and in a lifelong commitment to helping communities become stronger, safer, and more resilient, one step at a time.
